  • It appears that in 1914, "Everybody's Magazine" had a competition for the "best letters about rum," and gave cash prizes to the 96 best entries. Henry Olerich earned a $5 prize for his letter. But when I looked at the list I discovered that mutualist anarchist Herman Kuehn earned a $50 prize for being in the top 11.
